Master Class
Re-examining the Guards in Fiore's Longsword
INSTRUCTOR: Bob Charron

ROOM: Salon E
DESCRIPTION:

As a result of ongoing research into Fiore's art, aspects and uses of the guards in Fiore's longsword have come to light which will dramatically change current thinking and the direction of future research.

The guards are the foundation and "source of the art" according to Fiore. A thorough understanding of these newly discovered concepts is essential before moving on to learn the more than 40 plays depicted with this weapon.

The class will greatly benefit both the beginner and the intermediate researcher as we all discover or adjust our understanding of these fundamental principles.

Equipment: Wooden or rebated metal longsword and fencing mask.
