Backsword

DESCRIPTION:
An introduction to one of Europes most enduring and capable sword types, the basket hilted backsword or broadsword.
In use for three centuries in form and function, the basket hilted sword carries the strength and ability to deal with any other weapon form. This class shall cover fundamental principles that your defence and effectiveness in overcoming your opponent rely upon.
 
  • How to really make your blade work and cut.
  • How to preserve your own defence at all times.
     
  • How to control mind, body and spirit in the live encounter.
  • How to best control and move with the backsword.
  • How to counter your opponents actions as strongly and quickly as possible.

No previous experience is neccessary and training weapons can be provided.
Required - glove, mask.
