DESCRIPTION:
This class will cover the early developments of the small-sword with its various guards, the emphasis on ascending thrusts and examine how the earlier small sword length facilities these. Although the Rapier into Small-sword class is not a prerequisite, it is strongly recommended.
Students must come prepared with jackets, masks, groin protectors for men, breast protection for women and gloves for both hands. Weapons required are early small-swords, but acceptable substitutes are Italian or French foils. |
