| Introduction to Savate | ||
|
INSTRUCTORS:
Ken Pfrenger
ROOM: TBA |
||
|
DESCRIPTION:
Savate is
a very fast paced style of unarmed combat that originated in
France. Savate means "old shoe" and shoes are worn almost as
weapons in this art. We will touch briefly on the history of the art and then jump right into some actual technique. Savate is well known for it's fast and powerful kicking techniques so much of the class will be spent getting down the basics of a few of these familiar yet unique kicks. No previous experience needed. All you need are some comfortable clothes and shoes that will not kill your training partner when you slip past their guard. |
