DESCRIPTION:
A staple
of medieval self-defense methodology, the techniques for
dagger fighting left to us by the masters of the 'Society of
Liechtenauer' comprise a complete course in the use of the
weapon. We will practice defenses performed with an without a
dagger in hand and the follow-on techniques for locking,
throwing, and otherwise dispatching a
dagger-wielding attacker. The class will draw upon source
material from Masters Peter Falkner, Hans Talhoffer, Paulus
Kal, Andres Lignitzer, and Martin Huntfeltz. |
