Sword and Buckler of the Liechtenauer Tradition
INSTRUCTORS: Christian Tobler

ROOM: TBA
DESCRIPTION:

Drawing upon the works of Andres Lignitzer, Paulus Kal, and Hans Talhoffer, this course presents an overview of the considerable corpus of techniques for the sword and buckler that survive from the late medieval Liechtenauer tradition. We will begin by learning the very simple techniques presented by Kal and Talhoffer and then progress to the more complex set-plays of Lignitzer that appear in numerous compendium manuscripts.
