Stressed Out and Fancy Footwork
INSTRUCTOR: Tim Ruzicki

ROOM: TBA
DESCRIPTION:

Stressed Out
What happens to your body when you get into a real fight?  What happens to your mind, to your training, and to all your "cool moves?"  This class will examine several drills and training methods developed to teach you about the effects of adrenaline and stress in a fight.  Training will include verbal and physical stressors...including the infamous Shocknives used against unarmed participants.  C'mon by -- it'll be a hoot!

Fancy Footwork
Footwork is the basis of every standing martial art.  And not just because you use your feet to move around, but because buried in seemingly simple and mundane footwork are valuable secrets of tempo, measure, and proportion...the building-blocks of martial arts.  This class will focus on drills designed to unlock those secrets and give you an appreciation for the all-too-often neglected foundation of your arts.  Even though we'll use pugilism footwork, the material will be applicable across the range of Western Martial Arts -- from empty-hand to knife to stick to sword.
