Unique Weapons of the Western Martial Arts
INSTRUCTORS: Craig Johnson

ROOM: TBA
DESCRIPTION:

The diversity of weapons in the martial culture of the medieval and renaissance period was quite large and many examples of unique weapons have survived. The sword did not stand alone as the weapon of choice. The demand for an advantage drove weapon makers and combatants to create some interesting developments in weapon design.

This interactive demonstration will explore some of the physical attributes and qualities of these weapons and a discussion of what advantages and disadvantages might arise from their use. These practical qualities will then be illustrated with examples in action against targets and defenses.
