Accommodations
You will
find accommodations in New York City starting from $18/night
at a Hostel in a scary neighborhood up to $625/night at the
Ritz-Carlton on Central Park. For your convenience below are
some websites to check out.
First, we recommend checking with friends and 'friends of
friends' in the area to help put you up. Another option is
to team up with other participants and go in on a hotel room
together. This can be a great way to get to know your scene
partner and get extra rehearsal time! A listing of
participants and scene will be updated on the Participant
page as the information becomes available.
We may be able to help arrange for cheap housing with New
Yorkers. This would typically be on a sofa, etc. but it will
be cheaper than a hotel. If you need assistance in
securing accommodations, please contact us.
The workshop will be held at the
Access Theatre
which is at 380 Broadway (two blocks south of Canal Street),
so you may want to take this into account when planning your
stay.

The reviews say you get what you pay for, but if you’re not
staying in the room that much it’s not a big deal. It’s
$48/night for a Single Private Room with a shared bathroom
or a $30/night for a 4 bed room with a shared bathroom.
Jazz on the Town - 307 East 14th Street

Next most convenient location with a higher review rating.
A 4 bed room with shared bathroom is the most private they
have for $40/night and larger rooms are cheaper.
Chelsea International Hostel – 251 W. 20th St.
http://www.chelseahostel.com/
A surprising 81% review rating for such an inexpensive
place, but you have to like company; the smallest rooms are
6 bed rooms but they are only $27/night.

AirBnB may also be a great
choice. You sign up, build a short profile and contact the
host of the place you want to stay with your dates. You pay
AirBnB ( they charge a 6 to 12 percent booking fee) so you
don't need to hand over cash or credit card numbers your
hosts. More details are in this
New York Times article.
